Recently Rick and I took a trip to Branson, MO. I wasn't to keen on going. After all, we do live in the middle of country music (outside of Nashville, TN). I have to tell ya, we had a great time. We went to a few shows, not all country, rode the Ducks (that was a first for me) and took a scenic train ride.
The only thing I did not like was the ride up there. The guys decided that they would take a short cut, but little did they know that the shortcut would add additional time. Why was that, you may be asking. Well, we ended up going through the edge of the National Forest which meant we were on a 2 lane highway winding our way through the middle of nowhere. I never get car sick, but I actually thought I would on those roads. I had to let my window down, get some fresh air and then chew a piece of gum. It reminded me of going through the Smokey mountains from Gatlinburg to North Carolina. The guys decided to come home a different way, which made the ride a lot easier.
All in all we had a great time and have put Branson on our list for a return trip.
