I just spent the week making sample blocks from Sylvia's Bridal Sampler". This is the quilt that was inspired by the Elm Creek Quilts novels. I love those books. Right now I'm reading Cross Country Quilters. Anyway, these classes were great. I learned so much and I am now planning out my quilt. Joan Sheridan taught the class and she really did a great job. Her quilt is one of several that were published in this Sampler book. She taught Y seams, curves, partial seams as well as various other techniques. Even though I have been quilting for several years, I was amazed at the accuracy I achieved in these classes. It really was a week well spent. Thank you Joan for your expert advice and time.

I really don't know where I have been. It seems that every year about this same time I have a shutdown. I go through a few weeks with the "don't want to" attitude and I spend a lot of time doing nothing. I think it has something to do with the change of seasons, you know, going from bright sunny to dull and dreary. Anyway I am back from my "lost in space" time and I'm trying to get into the "just do it" mode. Wish me luck!
