Not long ago, Terri Stegmiller hosted a blog hop and each participant offered a set of her new stencils. I love Terri's work so I followed along. I was amazed at the way each artist used her stencils to create their work of art. At the end of the hop, I was checking to see who won and I got to the very last artist Sue Bleiweiss and there it was, my name listed as a winner. I sent an email to Sue with my address and this arrived today.
I have used stencils in my mixed media art and journals but never have used them with fabric. I have wanted to try my hand at art quilting and these will give me the jump start I need. Thank you Terri and Sue for being so kind. If you're not familiar with them, check out their sites. They create wonderful works of art.

This is my completed UFO for January. I guess the pattern for this is about 6 years old. The appliqué pieces were included in the pattern. I used fabric I already had. It really felt good when I finished this.
We met today and had a show and tell of what we had completed. I had so much fun, plus I won a door prize. Now, I have to work on February's challenge. Wish me luck.
